Duelo Del Siglo / Pittsburgh Boxing Cuba
Every remarkable event starts with just one great idea, and that’s exactly what landed a prominent Pittsburgh businessman on the doorstep at the South Side office of ocreations. The idea: to stage an amateur boxing spectacular on Pittsburgh’s iconic Roberto Clemente bridge featuring boxers from Cuba and the United States. But first, the promoters had to gain the buy-in of Cuban government officials. A delegation of Pittsburgh business and community leaders was ready to embark on this mission to Cuba, but they realized that success depended upon making their idea “tangible” and so they looked to the ocreations logo and branding experts for help.
The result – a Duelo del Siglo event logo that symbolized the common ground connecting two diverse cultures and an inspired future for both the event and these communities. As well, the logo was developed to have a similar look and feel to the Donnybrook, a long-standing Pittsburgh international boxing event backed by these same promoters.
