OCREATIONS ATTENDS AICF CONFERENCE

The Association of Irish and Celtic Festivals (AICF) holds an annual conference for all Irish and Celtic festivals to meet and network. Each year, the AICF chooses a new location to hold the conference. This year, Pittsburgh, PA was the location of choice for the conference. Our clients and friends at the Pittsburgh Irish Festival were the hosts of the 2019 event.

The majority of the weekend-long event was mainly held in the Sheraton Pittsburgh Hotel at Station Square. However, conference attendees were also offered the opportunity to explore Pittsburgh with small excursions to places like Mullaney’s Harp & Fiddle, the Irish Design Center, and Oakland Catholic High School.

Each night had a different showcase of entertainment as well, with multiple musical guest performances. Throughout the weekend, there were performances by Rory Makem, Corned Beef & Curry, Eileen Ivers, The Wild Geese, and the Real Irish Comedy Tour , to highlight a few.

ocreations also designed the program books for the event, which guided conference-goers through the weekend, with a map, schedule of events, list of speakers & performers, and expo hall exhibitors.

Our team also had the chance to attend the conference. We also had the opportunity to set up a booth in the expo hall to showcase our favorite festival pieces. It was truly a unique experience to network with festivals from all over the country! Our team was so glad to have the opportunity to meet new people in the Irish and Celtic festival community, and to showcase our award-winning festival designs.
